Okay so Tattoo was awful but the rest of the album sound surprisingly on par. Will buy, no shame. Stay frosty.
Zarif showed me Tera Melos’ new song the other day. I really really love it, it’s everything Tera Melos should be, it’s so focused and punchy. Most Tera Melos songs are like 20 riffs in 3 minutes but I love how this one is just 2 in 4 minutes. I’m all for relentless evil riffs over samples of the inside of a drainpipe (?) while Nick plays his guitar backwards in time over a 37/8 time signature. However, I do love when they get romantic and quiet so I was a bit disappointed that didn’t feature, then obviously because it’s Tera Melos and they can do no wrong the ending to the song is exactly that. (Even better that it’s almost the same riff as before, doing the whole evil/happy thing they mastered on Pat Rats). It’s just beautiful.
